Definition
Piperonyl butoxide with pyrethrins poisoning is an overdose of medications used to kill lice. It occurs when someone swallows the product or too much of the product touches the skin.

Symptoms
- Nausea
- Vomiting

What to expect at the emergency room
Some or all of the following procedures may be performed:
- Monitoring of vital signs
- Treatment of symptoms
- Cleaning of exposed skin
- Irrigation (washing) and examination of eyes as necessary
- Treatment of allergic reactions as necessary
Expectations (prognosis)
Most symptoms are seen in patients who are allergic to pyrethrins.
Piperonyl butoxide has a low toxicity.
